First Matter Press released five titles of poetry and hybrid literature at the fruition of our fifth annual publishing cycle. The 2022 cohort was guided by myself and co-editors Lauren Paredes, Caroline Wilcox Reul and Emily Moon. Covers feature brilliant artwork including cyanotypes and ink and pen drawings by Portland artist Rachel Mulder. I’m grateful for our growing literary community, and I am so proud of these books and all we learned together in the process.
